Can Frank Bisignano Save Social Security?

The Fiserv CEO's Less than Welcoming Confirmations Hearings

Frank Bisignano is a real American Dream come True.

The old American Dream. Long before the current “American Nightmare.”

Bisignano grew up in a time when a poor boy from the mean streets of New York could rise to become a financial wizard on Wall Street.

And Become a Billionaire.

Frank Bisignano appears to be a decent billionaire, unlike the seemingly mean billionaires associated with Trump.

You know, the ones who wield chainsaws, fire veterans, leave starving children without medicine, cut off school lunches, or threaten to leave seniors and people with disabilities without health care and Social Security.

The powerful CEO of Fiserv was grilled on Capitol Hill today during his confirmation hearing.

Donald Trump has nominated Bisignano to be Social Security Commissioner.

Why would a man who makes almost $5 million a year want this thankless Job?

During his opening statement today, he tried to answer that question.

He spoke about his grandparents, who were immigrants, and his father, a federal worker who served in World War II. His dad's work ethic. Frank Bisignano is a man who respects Federal Workers. So he says.

He seems like a Billionaire who wants to give back. And possibly SAVE Social Security.

After studying his resume, he might be capable of doing it.

IF HE CAN SURVIVE THE POLITICS.

This is Frank Bisignano's Company, and from Wikipedia:

Fiserv, Inc. is an American multinational company headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Fiserv provides financial technology and services to clients across the financial services sector, including banks, thrifts, credit unions, securities and finance companies, and retailers.[3][4] In October 2015, Fiserv, Inc. was ranked third by revenue among technology providers to U.S. banks by American Banker and BAI.[5] In 2019, the company reported total revenue of $10.187 billion.[1] Additionally, Fiserv owns First Data, which links 2 million ATMs via the STAR network.”

End quote-

Of course, Frank Bisignano’s biggest drawback is the person who nominated him.

The Fiserv Billionaire and his wife are major campaign donors to Donald Trump.

So as much as Bisignano gave me some hope, I also figure that he can’t be that smart if he supports a convicted felon, who brags about grabbing women in their “privates.”

At this early stage in his Presidency, Trump has made it clear he will do anything to destroy democracy, rake in as much cash as possible for his family, destroy the economy, attack our beloved allies, and violate fundamental human rights.

Still, I cling to hope.

My favorite story from today's testimony was when 9-11 happened.

Bisignano did not flee downtown Manhattan. He stayed and made sure all his workers got out. Some died. But most made it. Like the Captain of the sinking Ship, Bisinano stayed. Yes, Social Security might be sinking under the weight of Musk. If confirmed, could Bisignano keep us afloat?

I’m in a leaky rowboat watching the beautiful U.S. Titanic go down. But I’m hopeful and I’m praying.
